I think Dave is referring to "features" of the new MSA. They list titanium pedal and pull rods on their features page here: http://www.msapedalsteels.com/html/features.html There must be plastics out there that are impervious to temperature changes and hard enough to hold a thread and not deform. Since the majority of newer guitars are all pull, I wonder how plastic rods would work. They should be much lighter than metal ones too.
