I tried it both ways and found that adding the pedal to the Lexicon in the effects loop altered the sound of the guitar considerably. So, it's Lexicon in the effects loop and guitar to volume pedal to amp input. With that configuration, I can pull the send and return jacks out of the amp and the steel sound remains the same.
