I've heard the Lawrence pickups work well on Sho~Buds but there are several to choose from and I hesitate to recommend anything I haven't tested personally. Even then, I base my opinions on my personal technique so it won't be interpreted as a blanket solution. The only pickups I have tested in the last three years have been the E66, Emmons humbucking, and the Emmons single coil. For my use, the E66 is wound at around 17.5k, the single coil is 17.5k, and the Emmons humbucker is around 19k. Most everthing from 17.5 to 19k is acceptable for me depending on the type of pickup.
