Frank: It has been so long, I can't remember one title. The tunes we left out were suggestions Quincy Jones had sent me and had deeper changes than those ending up on the album. Because of the complexity of the tunes, the fact I had learned them by rote, and my ignorance of theory, I couldn't communicate and had to resort to the simpler tunes everybody knew. I'm sure if it had gone Quincy's way, it would have been a more legitimate sounding record with a happier ending.
