I used my old push/pull (the Blade) and Peavey 400 combination but don't recall the effects unit I had at the time. The original Night Life was recorded with a Sho~Bud and Standel combo which as you know, was bright compared to the Nelson/Price version. In the Price days, the six words steel players heard most from engineers was "can you give me more highs."
