Martin: When in school, I used to wonder why my peers in our violin class didn't learn as fast as I did, but they wondered they same about me when it came to math or other subjects I struggled with. Everyone is gifted in certain areas but it takes a lot of hard work to take advantage of it. I guess what says it all is that those thousands of hours of hard work were a labor of love, so it didn't seem like work at the time.
