Forgive me if you've covered this elsewhere! I'm seriously considering buying a p/p (my #1 guitar is a LeGrandeIII), and find myself somewhat confused by all the varying rhetoric on the most desirable 'era' for these guitars. When do YOU feel the instrument reached its optimum point of development and when, if ever, did it actually start to deteriorate as it was gradually 'improved'(!)? I should say here that Herb Steiner has been most helpful on this subject, but any input you may have would, I'm sure, be most illuminating!
