The only Barcus Berry pickup I was responsible for was their first attempt to clone the sound of a new pickup I was using on my Emmons guitar. During the time it took to tool up and deliver the pickup, I discovered my new pickup was thinner than I liked and because of that, the Barcus Berry's came out sounding much the same.
