The pickups in the Blade are single coil and measure at 17,000. The difference you're hearing in highs may be due to the Goodrich MatchBox, a unit that clips to the leg of the guitar and runs between the guitar and volume pedal. It cleans up the mid range and adds presence to the highs. With your pickups at 16k, the highs on your guitar should have a slight edge over my 17k pickups without the MatchBox.
