Buddy, I think that is a great idea, book or no book, and your playing would say it all. So much can be learned from watching players. I always try to sit as close as possible to the stage when I go out to watch my favorite musicians. In places where the steel guitar is rare such as New York City where I live; I can not just go out and see steel players on any type of regular basis. (can see just about everything else though) A tape of your playing would serve as a great inspiration to us all!
